This Rio Grande exclusive portable shear delivers the clean, precise cuts of a guillotine style shear in a compact, affordable tool; the lightweight, 7-lb. body is easy to move around your shop or take on the road for demonstrations. The shear operates with a hand bar that is separate from the cutting blade, resulting in a straight, even cut up to 4" (102mm) wide without distorting the metal. The blade is perpendicular to the hand bar for an unobstructed view of the cutting path. The Chopper cuts aluminum and heavy metals up to 0.025" (22-gauge) thick and other non-ferrous metals up to 0.02" thick (24-gauge) and mild steel up to 0.015" thick (27-gauge). This compact shear has a 14"W x 15"D footprint. Made in the USA.
