These Del Rey™ long flat-nose pliers feature nylon-lined jaws that guarantee a firm grip on your workpiece while protecting the surface of the metal from scratches. The longer 6" overall length offers additional leverage and longer jaws for shaping metal. On flat-nose pliers, the two jaws are flat, ideal for closing prongs and creating wider, broader bends in wire, as well as forming or straightening and flattening sheet and strip. The nylon lining on these pliers makes them ideal for shaping soft sheet, wire or components without marring. The tough, rust-resistant stainless steel delivers reasonable tool life and good value. • These pliers have a sturdy box joint; one half of the joint surrounds the other half, and the pivot is contained within. This joint holds its alignment far longer than a lap joint but allows the tool to open only as far as the box size. • The textured, ergonomically shaped handles ensure a comfortable, non-slip grip that reduces hand fatigue.
