Fretz® HMR- Narrow Collet Hammer

This Fretz® narrow collet hammer is ideal for creating anticlastic shapes without thinning the metal when used with your Fretz M-104 or M-105 concave stake. The hammer features two narrow curved faces that produce a subtle oblong texture. Broad working surfaces on this hammer make it well suited for wire texturing. The hammer is applied to the outside of the metal, forcing it onto the stake or other form.

Designed by master metalsmith Bill Fretz, this hammer is built for toughness and durability, and delivers all the features of a Fretz® hammer. The face size, head as well as the weight, length and pistol-grip end of the handle are all designed to Fretz’s specifications for balance, control and precision. The handle is made of Padauk wood, known for its strength, stability and beauty, and is oil-finished; it's specially shaped to give you a light touch, and the thin neck flexes slightly as you hammer for ultimate comfort. The head is cast from 420- grade stainless steel and tool hardened to 50 HRC for maximum durability and effectiveness.
