On chain-nose pliers, both jaws are semi-round with flat interior surfaces, tapering to a point from the pivot to the tip; they are ideal for opening and closing jump rings, flat-crimping and creating angled bends; the smooth finish helps reduce the risk of marring delicate pieces. The jaws are made of C70 steel that is hardened to 62 HRC. • Adjustable lap joint; a screw is set through both halves, allowing the joint to be adjusted as needed. • Double-leaf spring that holds the handles apart until they are squeezed closed.
