This 14-karat yellow gold post earring mounting features an attractive open style that is pre-notched for easy and accurate seating of one 7 x 5mm pear-shaped faceted gemstone. A variation on a classic 4-prong setting, which supports the gemstone on four sides, this mounting has double prongs that create eight contact points for added security. The post has a single groove to help secure the ear nut (not included). Sold as a pair.
