Shears operate like scissors, with blades that smoothly bypass one another as they cut, but have a more robust construction ideal for cutting meal sheet. Straight-blade shears are perfect for cutting fine, straight lines. These shears are made from cast and hardened molybdenum steel; they are not work-hardened.• The compound joint offers two pivot points and keeps the jaw edges parallel to each other as they open and close, creating even pressure and delivering a clean cut. The jaws remain open until the handles are squeezed closed; a simple hook closure on the inside of the handles keeps the tool closed for safe storage and transport.• The grips are made of molded plastic for comfort, and have safety guards to prevent slipping.
