Jayne Redman® Rotational WorkRing Complete System

Designed by Tim Sherriff of Swanstrom Tools in collaboration with jewelry maker, designer and educator Jayne Redman, the Jayne Redman® rotational WorkRing system revolutionizes the way you hold workpieces at your bench. It reduces muscle fatigue and soreness, and provides precision as you easily turn your work toward the tools you are using. This complete system includes the rotational base, a 4.5” diameter WorkRing, clamp adaptor and hardware. Metal and other materials such as wood or plastic are held securely in the 4.5”-diameter clamp while you saw, texture, engrave, set stones or utilize other metalsmithing techniques. The clamp rests in a silicone lined depression, allowing for smooth and accurate movement or can be held stationary by turning the locking screw on the side. The ability to rotate your sawing surface to a specific angle is essential for making blanking (pancake) dies and the Jayne Redman® rotational WorkRing system is the perfect tool for that task. For rotation, slide the socket head screw, washer and included wide spacer through one of two holes in the back of the base to add a Jayne Redman® dovetail adaptor (110224, available separately) or remove the dovetail cleats and screw the socket head screw directly into the adaptor. The WorkRing base also directly attaches to the new Jayne Redman® dovetail mounting plate (110236, available separately). The Jayne Redman® rotational WorkRing system includes a circle clamp adaptor that holds any of the Swanstrom SawPlate clamps and Gary’s clamp (all available separately). From the back, insert the screws provided into holes on either side of the ring depression and screw into the back of the clamp adaptor. Hold your work stationary by turning the locking screw on the side.
