Gemini Taurus 3 Ring Saw

Named for its continuous ring-shaped saw blade, this table-top Taurus 3 ring saw is as fun and easy to use as it is down-and-dirty effective for precision cutting of stone, glass, ceramic, plastic, metal and more. Cleverly designed to allow you to remove the saw from the base unit, the saw converts to a hand-held portable tool that goes to work that can't come to the table top. • The roomy work surface (17-3/4"W x 16"D) is pierced in a grid pattern to allow coolant water to return to the reservoir and to accept accessories for perfect straight, circle and angled cuts. Accessories (available by special order) have pegs that fit into the grid wherever you need them and are a snap to insert, remove and re-position. • The saw blade (included and installed) is a slicer blade that allows you to cut forward and backward, removing the least amount of material, on glass, stones and metal. The blade is electroplated with 100/120 grit and includes a Kevlar®-enforced drive belt. Manufactured with the finest kerf of any of the Taurus saw blade, this blade is broad and flat, giving you excellent strength for dependable, fast, straight cutting. Its 1/8" kerf is always the blade thickness. This blade is used for extreme scroll-cutting on all hard materials. Because the blade is only 1mm thick but 1/8" wide, it is very tough, fast-cutting and will last for about 40–60 hours of effective cutting. • The saw body, installed on the table, accommodates workpieces up to 1-3/8" thick and has a throat depth of 5-5/8". • An adjustable stabilizer foot (included) attaches easily to the saw arm and adjusts to closely match the thickness of the workpiece. Small grommets on the foot minimize blade movement for more precise cutting. • A built-in spotlight brightly illuminates the immediate cutting area as you work, giving you a clear view of your progress. • The base holds a reservoir of water that provides constant cooling and lubrication to the saw blade and workpiece—and the saw design provides on-board water for cooling that goes with you when using the saw in the portable set-up. • The 1/5hp motor runs on 110 volts and has a built-in internal transformer that ensures it will handle almost any material—work patiently, and allow the blade to do the work, as denser materials will take a bit longer to cut.
