Deze Janus chasinghamer van Fretz® biedt twee volwaardige chasingkoppen in één hamer. Eén zijde staat loodrecht op het handvat, geschikt voor lichte planishing en ideaal voor kunstenaars die de voorkeur geven aan een meer eigentijdse chasinghamerstijl. De tegenoverliggende zijde helt iets naar beneden, ideaal voor traditionele chasingtechnieken. Beide zijden zijn vlak met afgeronde randen en hebben een spiegelglans. Het 9" handvat is afgerond om het wisselen van de ene naar de andere zijde snel en soepel te maken, en de vernauwde hals zorgt voor een lichte veerkracht die een lichte terugslag bij elke slag mogelijk maakt, wat zorgt voor betere controle en minder spiervermoeidheid. Ontworpen door Bill Fretz, is deze goudsmedenhamer gebouwd voor stevigheid en duurzaamheid. This Janus chasing hammer from Fretz® offers two full-size chasing heads in a single hammer. One face is perpendicular to the handle, suitable for light planishing and ideal for artists who prefer a more contemporary chasing hammer style. The opposite face tilts slightly downward, ideal for traditional chasing techniques. Both faces are flat with rounded edges and have a mirror finish. The 9" handle is rounded to make switching from one face to the other a quick, smooth movement, and the narrowed neck creates a slight springiness that allows some bounce-back with each strike, producing improved control and reduced muscle fatigue.
Designed by Bill Fretz, this jeweler's hammer is built for toughness and durability. The handle is made of Padauk wood, known for its strength, stability and beauty, and is oil-finished. The head is cast from 420-grade stainless steel and tool hardened to 50 HRC for maximum durability and effectiveness.
