This set of diamond hand files features five commonly used file shapes and durable plastic handles for a firm, comfortable grip and fast, sure access to the style you need when you need it. The files feature precision-machined construction, uniform abrasive grading, and exceptional European quality; the files are tapered. The set includes one 120/140-mesh file of each shape: flat, round, half-round, three-square and square in a convenient plastic carrying case.
Diamond files feature cutting surfaces created by embedding particles of industrial diamond into the surface material of the file. The sharp cutting edges and the hardness of the diamond makes these files effective on fragile materials such as stone, ceramic or glass and on very hard metals such as hardened steel or platinum. Diamond files cut quickly and smoothly every stroke, forward or back.
Hand files, also called 'full-size' files, feature a larger cutting surface that is longer and wider than other file types. They are ideal for fast, efficient removal of material from the workpiece for initial shaping, for smoothing and, in finer meshes, for finishing.
