Xuron® #494 Combination Chain-Nose and Crimping Pliers

These convenient and versatile combination Xuron® chain-nose and crimping pliers let you shape and bend wire, then close crimp beads around your wire without changing tools. The chain-nose portion of the jaws is semi-round with a flat interior surface, which grasps metal and wire without marring the surface of the metal. Divots in the back section of the jaws accommodate 1mm, 2mm and 3mm crimp beads. Xuron® pliers are made from induction-hardened tool steel for exceptionally long service. Hardened tool steel is a very hard, strong material for pliers and cutters; jaws will not be nicked or deformed with normal use. Precisely ground jaws ensure accuracy and control, even in very dense areas. Clean with Cosmoline® or a similar protectant; avoid contact with moisture.• These pliers have a lap joint; one half of the joint overlaps the other, and a pivot is set through both halves.• The handles have ergonomically shaped, non-slip Xuro-Rubber™ grips; the black matte finish prevents eye strain caused by reflective glare and increases visibility of the workpiece.
