Swanstrom Large Shear Cutters

These large shear cutters (NR1721) from Swanstrom feature blades that bypass without the cutting edges meeting one another; they create cuts with minimal pinch, leaving only a slight deformation on the side. Their larger size and thicker construction make them ideal for heavier materials and larger cutting needs, offering you a wider range of applications in sheet and wire up to 6 gauge. A dark, matte finish prevents eye strain caused by reflective glare and increases visibility of the workpiece. • These cutters have a lap joint; one half of the joint overlaps the other, and a screw is set through both halves, allowing the joint to be adjusted as needed. • The double-leaf spring, welded in place for durability, consists of flat, tempered metal tabs attached to the inside of each tool handle, positioned to meet and hold the handles apart (and the jaws open) until they are squeezed closed. • The Soft-Touch™ sure-grip foam handles are longer, wider and ergonomically designed for maximum comfort over extended periods of use; all Swanstrom tool handles are latex free.
