The strength of this high-temperature Plasticast® PT investment from Ransom & Randolph® is made for use withstands the pressure from plastic and wax models produced in rapid prototype processes as the material expands during burnout, ensuring your patterns remain true through the burnout process. This investment is specially formulated to use with casting high-temperature metals, such as platinum; it is a two-part formula and includes one 1/2 gallon of non-acid liquid binder, eliminating the acid-based binder common to two-part platinum investments.
