This miniature tapered round raising stake from Fretz® is ideal for forming a ring blank into dimensional shapes, as well as shaping bezels and forming and planishing a wide variety of metals. This stake lets you translate traditional silversmithing techniques to a much smaller scale. The surface of the stake has a high polish, and so will minimize the transfer of any unwanted marks to the metal, reducing the finishing needed.

Designed by Bill Fretz, miniature stakes are specially created for smaller-scale shaping and forming such as rings, bezels and small vessels that can be difficult to make using full-sized stakes. The shapes and sizes of these stakes allow you to precisely shape smaller bezels for rings, bracelets and pendants by stretching the metal to form curves, cups and rims.
