This 1/2-hard, fine silver square sizing stock is named for its use in enlarging rings. Additionally, this wire is popular for shaping rings and cuff or bangle bracelets using metal-forming techniques.
1/2-Hard stock is partially work-hardened and will hold its shape under some stress; ideal for forming structures that will support other components. Keep in mind that hardness is changeable (by annealing or heat-hardening) and is relative among metal types (each temper will feel and handle differently from one metal to another). When finishing your pieces, also keep in mind that the harder the metal is, the brighter a finish it will take.
This sterling silver sizing stock is milled in 12" straightened lengths. This stock is cut to order up to that length; due to the cutting capabilities of the shear, minimum purchase is 1/2".
