Straight-blade shears are perfect for cutting fine, straight lines and curved-blade shears are ideal for cutting smooth curves and contours. The tough, rust-resistant stainless steel gives a reasonable life and good value; the jaws may require regular maintenance with use. This set contains one pair of 4" scissors with curved blades and one pair of 4-3/4" scissors with straight blades.• A jaw stop is built into one handle to protect the cutting edges from damage caused by them colliding with each other. Jaw-stops prevent over-extension of the tool, which can distort the jaw shape or stress the pivot joint.
