Bergeon Double-Reduction Cutters

These Bergeon double-reduction cutters have a compound joint that significantly increases the power of the user’s grip, making them ideal for cutting heavy material and trimming sprues. The cutters cut sprues up to 12-gauge thick. The joint has two pivot points as the cutter is closed; the first transmits the power of your hand as you squeeze and the second closes the blades directly and powerfully on the material being cut. A dark, matte finish prevents eye strain caused by reflective glare and increases visibility of the workpiece.• The jaw stop protects cutting edges from damage caused by them colliding with each other (a thread of light should be visible when blades are closed). The jaw-stops prevents over-extension of the tool, which can distort the jaw shape or stress the pivot joint. This fine control is especially useful for production work.These cutters are made from hardened tool steel, a very hard, strong material for cutters, and forged for the best combination of strength and durability; the jaws will not be nicked with normal use and keep their shape and finish well over time.
