Le fil doux est facile à plier, façonner et marteler ; c'est un point de départ idéal pour le formage, le façonnage et l'enroulement de fil. Gardez à l'esprit que la dureté est modifiable (par recuit ou durcissement thermique) et relative selon les types de métal (chaque état de trempe se ressent et se manipule différemment d'un métal à l'autre). Lors de la finition de vos pièces, gardez également à l'esprit que plus le métal est dur, plus la finition sera brillante. Keep in mind that hardness is changeable (by annealing or heat-hardening) and is relative among metal types (each temper will feel and handle differently from one metal to another). When finishing your pieces, also keep in mind that the harder the metal is, the brighter a finish it will take.
