This cast-iron pitch bowl includes a fitted rubber base. The base is three-tiered to provide a firm grip, allowing you to tilt the bowl at your most effective working angle. The ridged underside on the rubber base ensures a non-slip foundation.

Pitch bowls are excellent for engraving, chasing or repoussé tasks; the best pitch holding device for these tasks should be heavy and rotatable. Sufficient weight ensures that the workpiece stays in place under the pressure of whatever forming tools are used for shaping the metal. The ability to rotate smoothly provides full and easy access to the workpiece from all sides.

To use the bowl, heat your pitch and press it into place inside the bowl, shaping the pitch as needed for the work you're doing.
