• Diese Schneider haben ein durchgestecktes Gelenk; eine Hälfte des Gelenks umschließt die andere und der Drehpunkt ist darin enthalten. Dieses Gelenk behält seine Ausrichtung viel länger als ein Überlappgelenk, ermöglicht aber nur ein Öffnen des Werkzeugs bis zur Kastengröße.
• Die Doppelblattfeder besteht aus flachen, gehärteten Metalllaschen, die an der Innenseite jedes Werkzeuggriffs angebracht sind. Sie sind so positioniert, dass sie die Griffe auseinander halten (und die Backen offen), bis sie zusammengedrückt werden.
• Kunststoffbeschichtete Griffe sorgen für Bedienkomfort und sicheren Halt, auch bei längeren Arbeitszeiten. Diese Schneider wurden aus Werkzeugstahl geschmiedet, dann kaltverfestigt und angelassen; Schmieden bietet die beste Kombination aus Festigkeit und Haltbarkeit. Gehärteter Werkzeugstahl ist ein sehr hartes, festes Material für Schneider; die Backen werden bei normaler Verwendung nicht eingekerbt oder verformt. Mit Cosmoline® oder einem ähnlichen Schutzmittel reinigen; Kontakt mit Feuchtigkeit vermeiden.

The slim profile and the angle of the jaws on these oblique end cutters make them the ideal choice for cutting wire or softer metals in confined or sharply angled spaces. Oblique end cutters feature jaws oriented so that the cutting blades are nearly perpendicular to the handles, providing better reach and visibility into close areas and delivering clean, close cuts in areas that are difficult to reach for filing or other clean up. Oblique cutters must be used on softer metals to protect their blades.• These cutters have a box joint; one half of the joint surrounds the other, and the pivot is contained within. This joint holds its alignment far longer than a lap joint but allows the tool to open only as far as the box size.• The double-leaf spring consists of flat, tempered metal tabs attached to the inside of each tool handle, positioned to meet and hold the handles apart (and the jaws open) until they are squeezed closed.• Plastic-dipped handles ensure use comfort and a secure grip, even over extended work times.These cutters were forged from tool steel, then work-hardened and tempered; forging offers the best combination of strength and durability. Hardened tool steel is a very hard, strong material for cutters; jaws will not be nicked or misshapen with normal. Clean with Cosmoline® or a similar protectant; avoid contact with moisture.
