This comprehensive, well-built master stone-setting system includes 36 hardened steel punches (sizes 1.5mm to 20mm) and two smooth, comfortably shaped hardwood handles (one pear and one mushroom) with easy-to-use chuck collets. With this range of size to choose from, you have better precision and closer control for your most delicate stone-setting work. These tools are ideal for bezel-, prong- and tube-style settings. Handles are textured to ensure a firm, secure grip as you work. The tools and handles are delivered into a protective foam insert inside a fitted wood organizer box.

To set a stone, select the punch size needed (just slightly larger than your setting), position your stone in its mounting, then simply tap the concave punch over the setting with a mallet, moving the punch around in a circular motion to secure the prongs, bezel or tube edges over the stone. Use the punches to burnish the setting as well—secure the punch in one of the handles and work the punch around the setting. Your setting will be beautifully burnished with a professional finish.
