Nickelbasiertes Weißgold ist die am häufigsten verwendete Legierung für 10–14 Karat Weißgold. Zu den Zusätzen gehören geringere Mengen Silber und höhere Mengen Zink und Silizium. Ein Vorlegierungs-Gusskorn ist eine vorgefertigte Mischung aus unedlen Metallelementen. Additives include lower amounts of silver and higher amounts of zinc and silicon. A master alloy casting grain is a pre-formulated mix of base-metal elements; add the appropriate amount of precious metal grain to the master alloy to create the casting alloy you need.
