This Friedrich Dick all-purpose mini wax-carving hand file is ideal for rough-shaping wax models and for truing and smoothing wax blocks for carving. One flat side of the file has a coarse cut, the opposite has a medium cut; one edge features a cutting surface, and the other edge is safe and smooth. The file cuts wax cleanly and resists clogging, and includes a durable plastic handle for a safe grip.Wax files feature broad patterns of coarse teeth that quickly and efficiently cut and shape hard wax and other relatively soft materials for model-making.
