HyCeram® Coating Cartridges, Pearl Bronze, 8g

This HyCeram® Pearl Bronze micro-fine ceramic polymer coating delivers a pearlescent bronze color that is highly stable and will not fade or discolor over time. Use HyCeram color coatings to create jewelry designs with the vibrant colors of resin, the high-polish of enamel and the durability of ceramic—without needing plating equipment or high-temperature kilns. Apply the coating as directed, then set the workpieces into the HyCeram CeraPower oven (not included) to cure through an innovative process using heat and pressure; curing takes less than two hours, including warm-up and cool-down time.

After curing, the colors are colorfast and have the feel of enamel. Shape and finish the surface as you like by grinding, sanding and polishing. Finished items are stronger and less fragile than enamels—ideal for high-wear jewelry pieces. The material is delivered in an 8-gram cartridge and is dispensed using the accessory digital dispensing system (not included; ideal for high-production use of the HyCeram colors). The cartridge accommodates any of three tip diameters (0.4, 0.6 and 1mm) depending on your application needs.

HyCeram® is a hybrid ceramic and polymer material formulated and manufactured in Austria by Invicon; its viscosity can be adjusted somewhat to allow precision placement on both flat and domed surfaces—even into crevices and hollows. Choose medium viscosity (MV) for flat pieces, shallow domes or curves, and for covering or filling small crevices; choose high viscosity (HV) for round or domed pieces. HyCeram® colors are composed of 60% micro-fine ceramic material, Pantone (or RAL) color additives and high-tech cross-linked polymers. When properly cured, HyCeram presents a hard, durable finish that can be shaped, ground, filed, finished and polished to an excellent smoothness and a high shine. HyCeram is ideal for use on jewelry, fine watches, hollowware and various gift items such as writing instruments to create unique, custom and/or personalized designs. Each color is bio-compatible and, after curing, is chemical-resistant and heat-resistant up to 392°F (200°C).

Store cartridges of HyCeram® in a refrigerator or other cold storage (68°F/20°C). About 30 minutes prior to use, remove the needed color cartridges from the refrigerator to allow the material to warm to room temperature; alternatively, you can place the cartridges you need into the pre-heater unit (not included; available separately) for about 5 minutes.
