Bonny Doon Ring-Forming Stake

This Bonny Doon ring-forming stake is made from a special alloy of hardened steel for the maximum toughness, allowing you to shape precious metal rings with ease. It offers two tapered ends of different sizes to accommodate the widest variety of band diameters, from a US ring size 4–8 on one side and a size 8–16 on the other. The stake is CNC-milled from hexagonal stock, creating precise shapes with less flex than found in traditional stakes. The hexagonal center of this stake provides a more stable work surface compared to traditional forming stakes. It can be secured in most standard bench vises, but the Bonny Doon vertical vise delivers the most secure hold, as the points of the hex shape index into the grooves in the vise face.
