Luxon® Unica Turquoise, 20g

Achieve long-lasting, durable color with Luxon® by Invicon. A ceramic-free compound, this design material allows for the high-quality and efficient color design of surfaces, making it possible to add luxurious, vibrant color to your jewelry pieces. Luxon Unica Turquoise adds a calming turquoise color to your designs.

Ready to use without blending, this light-curing, one-component design acrylate is packaged and ready for use in light-proof 20g jars. Rapid curing with a visible blue light results in a surface hardness of 140 N/mm2, making it ideal for high-wear jewelry pieces. After curing, the colors are colorfast and have the feel of enamel. Finished items can then be polished to a matte finish or a high gloss. Letters, numbers, logos and other graphic designs can be engraved on finished Luxon elements either mechanically or by laser afterwards. If desired, these engravings can then be filled again with a contrasting Luxon color for unique, custom designs.

Luxon® can be used effectively in 6 steps: 1. After the preparation of the area, sandblast or laser engrave it, and then clean it. 2. Apply Luxon Link and Bond II and secure the bond between Luxon® and the metal. 3. Cure Bond II with the TwinLux Dual or in CeraLux volume light unit. 4. Open the Luxon® jar, stir the material carefully and apply using a suitable tool such as a spatula or probe. 5. Cure the color-coated elements with the TwinLux Dual or in the CeraLux unit. 6. Smooth down and polish the cured surface (provided it was not cured under nitrogen).

When stored at a room temperature of 59°F - 82°F, Luxon® design acrylate will store for up to 2 years. Always close Luxon material jars and do not leave them open in daylight. Do not expose Luxon jars to direct sunlight.

Luxon® is available in a wide range of standard colors that can be used alone or mixed. You can also order Pantone® and custom colors (call us for minimum quantities). Color intensity can be controlled by varying the different layer thicknesses of the colors.
