The faceted round labradorite beads on this strand reflect light and draw the eye; an ideal choice for necklace and bracelet designs—the beads are light brown/gray and the amount of labradorescence varies from bead to bead. String the beads on their own to create a simple strung necklace or combine them with other gemstone and metal beads or pearls to create more complex pendants, bracelets and earrings. Complete the designs with silver or yellow-gold findings to highlight the beads’ color.Labradorite displays a unique reflection of light that is known as 'labradorescence.' This effect is due to geometric planes within the mineral structure at a submicroscopic level that are almost always oriented in one direction, but in such a way that they cannot be expressed by simple indices.
