Cut with a laser, the jaws on each of the tools in this set from italtec feature precision edges and contours that deliver smooth, repeatable bends, curves and cuts in metal and wire. Their fine tips are ideal for reaching into small, detailed areas. The smooth finish helps reduce the risk of marring delicate pieces. The jaws are made of C70 steel that is hardened to 62 HRC. The round-nose pliers feature round jaws that taper from the pivot to the tip; they are ideal for creating jump rings, clasps, coils and curved bends. The chain-nose pliers feature semi-round jaws with flat interior surfaces, tapering to a point from the pivot to the tip; they are ideal for opening and closing jump rings, flat crimping and making angled bends. The bent chain-nose pliers feature semi-round jaws with tips that are bent perpendicular to the joint, enhancing reach and visibility for certain tasks. The flat-nose pliers feature flattened jaws that offer a wider grip on components; they are ideal for making wider, broader bends in wire, metal-forming, straightening and flattening out metal, making angled bends, closing prongs and holding components. The tapered-head flush cutters feataure jaws that taper to a fine point, providing improved access to fine details or close work areas. The flush-cutting edges leave a minimal pinch on metal. Protect the tips against damage by cutting at the center of the jaw. • All five tools have a lap joint, in which one half of the joint overlaps the other, and a screw is set through both halves.
