This heavy-duty benchtop bead blaster helps you quickly and evenly create a beautiful finish on all or on specific, decorative portions of your jewelry or hollowware designs. It is also ideal for cleaning stubborn stains or discoloration from metal. Use with other bead media to create a variety of matte and sandblasted finishes, as your designs require.

In addition, this benchtop bead blaster is ideal for preparing metal workpieces for applying HyCeram® micro-fine ceramic coatings. Used with fine, 110-micron bead media, you perfectly roughen the metal surface to ensure a secure, permanent bond with the coating color.

The cabinet includes a roomy working cabinet with interior lighting and two applicator options with its free-floating gun-style accessory that includes three tips (5mm, 6mm and 7mm) and a slender pencil-style accessory that has a 1.4mm tip. This versatile system provides excellent etching and finishing results. • High-pressure, easily maneuverable applicators accommodate a range of bead-blasting media. • A clear Mylar® shield protects the slanted, top-opening, acrylic window; simply peel off and replace the mylar sheet when its surface becomes scratched or clouded enough to impair your view. • Unit includes a port for dust collector (not included), a safety valve, a back vent, a receptacle for an incandescent bulb, and 18" rubber gloves. • Thick-wall, durable plastic construction with a generous interior work area.

Bead blasting is the process applying round glass beads to a metal surface at high pressure to either remove material or to create a textured or matte finish on the metal. Larger (coarse) beads have more energy and provide a more penetrating impact on the surface; smaller (fine) glass beads have less energy for a lighter impact and are better suited for accessing crevices and small spaces.
