GRS® Positioning Vise

The largest vise made by GRS®, this 40 lb. positioning vise offers an extra-large base and an impressive weight that provides incredible stability for your work. The ball allows the base to be tilted and positioned for excellent accessibility to your pieces. The crown and jaw assembly delivers a completely adjustable rotational brake that shifts up to 2" (50.8mm) from the center. A quick-release lever frees the crown assembly for repositioning the center of rotation. The crown and base are machined from solid stainless steel and finished with a special low-glare treatment to reduce eye strain. Vise includes upper jaw plates, base, five pins, plastic hex key, and an Allen wrench. Microscopic Work This positioning vise is ideal for exacting tasks on larger pieces with the aid of a microscope. The vise configuration allows quick and easy positioning adjustment of your piece without changing the alignment of the microscope or its field of view. You can even adjust it without taking your eyes from the microscope.
