These small, compact bevel cutters feature tapered jaws ideal for cutting prongs and fine wire; they fit comfortably into the palm of your hand. The most durable of cutters, bevel cutters require more pressure to make the cut; they have a distinct V-notch on the back surface and leave a pronounced pinch at the ends of the material.• These cutters have a box joint; one half of the joint surrounds the other half and the pivot is contained within. This joint holds its alignment far longer than a lap joint but allows the tool to open only as far as the box size.• The double-leaf spring consists of flat, tempered metal tabs attached to the inside of each of the tool handles, positioned to meet and hold the handles apart (and the jaws open) until they are squeezed closed, delivering a fast, strong rebound for improved productivity.• The plastic-dipped handles stay comfortable through hours of work.These cutters are forged from a rod of high-grade tool steel, a very hard, strong material for cutters. The tool is work-hardened as the metal is compressed and shaped and then tempered to prevent brittleness. Forging offers the best combination of strength and durability; the jaws will not be nicked or misshapen with normal use. Clean with Cosmoline® or a similar protectant; avoid contact with moisture.
