GRS® Slide & Lock Tru-Axis Bench Tool-Holding System

Work more efficiently under a microscope with the GRS® Slide & Lock™ Tru-Axis system, designed by JA Master Bench Jeweler Jeff Matthews. This system provides the additional space to accommodate a microscope without needing to re-adjust and re-focus. Two easy-grip brass handles, with a total vertical travel of 12", release the mounting plate, allowing you to raise or lower the height of your work, then locks the plate in place at the optimal position for each task. In addition, you're able to work in an ergonomic position, minimizing eye, neck and back strain. The first handle has three positions to choose from (top, middle and bottom), offering 8" of travel on the upper tool holder. The second handle provides 4" of travel on the lower tool holder so that you can adjust it independently. The GRS® Slide & Lock™ Tru-Axis system can hold two separate tools at the same time and supports up to 35 pounds. Simply loosen a cam-lock handle to easily adjust the slide plate, then lock it in place to secure the plate as desired. Reverse the handle to accommodate either right- or left-hand use. The Slide & Lock™ Tru-Axis mounts to a GRS® mounting plate (available separately) and is ideal for use with any tool that attaches to the fixed GRS mounting plate, including all BenchMate® holder models and accessories such as the block shelf, bench pin, multi-purpose vise and more (all available separately). Important: To safely adjust the slide plate, first support the slide plate from the bottom, then loosen the cam-lock and raise or lower the slide plate to the desired work position (do not lift from the bench pin or any other tool because the tool will simply lift off of the mount). Lock the plate in its new position before removing the support at the bottom.
