This Formlabs Purple resin formulation for your Form 2 or Form 3 3D printer contains 20% wax and is ideal for direct-to-cast production. The formula accurately captures intricate features and smooth surfaces. The deep amethyst color highlights design details. Use this resin in either the original or the LT Formlabs resin tank. Because the material is polymer-based, the burnout process will be different than is used for wax; the wax/polymer blend produces zero ash and a very clean burnout process. Always thoroughly clean the resin piece after printing; Formlabs castable wax resins do not require curing of the printed pieces to prepare them for spruing and treeing.The resin is sold in 1L cartridges that slide into a specially designed compartment in the Form 2 and Form 3 printers. Once the cartridge is properly seated, the printer detects the resin and specific resin type and automatically adjusts the printer settings to help ensure a smooth, error-free build.
