EXTREM® by Merard S20 Polishing Compound

Developed by Merard, S20 EXTREM® polishing compound is formulated specifically for materials that typically present extreme challenges for high-polish finishing. EXTREM compounds are ideal for ceramic coatings such as HyCeram® and LuxArt®. The unique combination of ceramic and diamond components in this compound, called Cerax, was developed by Merard to deliver fast, effective, high-quality polishing. This S20 grade (beige) is intended for surface initial finishing on these materials and should be used on high-quality, fine-thread cotton buffs such as Merard KH cotton buffs or on traditional Merard TPB or STV buffs. Choose S10 grade for preparing surfaces for finishing and S30 grade for final finishing; both available separately. Each grade has a different color, making it easy to pick up the compound you need.

EXTREM® by Merard polishing compounds are designed for jewelers and watchmakers. They are manufactured from a proprietary formula of ceramic and diamond abrasives branded as Cerax. Cerax delivers consistent results and dependable performance when finishing high-hardness, extreme configurations such as ceramic coatings (HyCeram®, LuxArt®), PVD (physical vapor deposition) coatings, semi-precious gemstones (with a Mohs hardness 4–7), and metals such as platinum. EXTREM polishing compounds are color-coded for easy identification.
