The shorter 5" overall length offers a better fit for smaller hands and a slightly shorter jaw perfect for fine work. The two flat jaws are ideal for closing prongs and creating wider, broader bends in wire, as well as forming or straightening and flattening sheet and strip. Jaws lined with nylon are ideal for shaping soft sheet, wire or components without marring. The tough, rust-resistant stainless steel delivers reasonable tool life and good value. • These pliers have a sturdy box joint; one half of the joint surrounds the other half, and the pivot is contained within. This joint holds its alignment far longer than a lap joint but allows the tool to open only as far as the box size. • The textured, ergonomically shaped handles ensure a comfortable, non-slip grip that reduces hand fatigue.
