Deze Glardon Vallorbe® micro pilaarvijl is ontworpen voor gebruik met uw micromotor of flexas met schuuractie in een hamervormige handstuk (1/8" steel) en is ideaal om efficiënt te werken op kleine, gedetailleerde, moeilijk bereikbare plaatsen. Indien gewenst kan de vijl ook met de hand worden gebruikt. Het dubbelgeslepen snijvlak van deze vijl loopt licht taps toe over de breedte en dikte. Deze vijl heeft een Zwitsers slijpnummer #4; Zwitserse vijlen worden geclassificeerd op basis van het aantal tanden, waarbij de tanden loodrecht op de lange as van de vijl worden geteld. Bij alle slijpsoorten geldt: hoe hoger het nummer, hoe fijner de slijping. Een dubbelgeslepen vijl heeft twee sets gelijkmatig verdeelde tanden die in twee richtingen zijn geplaatst, waarbij de ene set onder een iets andere hoek staat dan de andere. Dubbelgeslepen vijlen zijn ontworpen om agressiever te snijden, waardoor elke slag maximaal wordt benut om meer metaal te verwijderen met minder slagen. De eerste keuze voor de meeste juweliers, Glardon Vallorbe® vijlen worden vervaardigd volgens de hoogste productiestandaarden, gemaakt in Zwitserland van het fijnste warmtegeharde chroomlegeringsstaal, gehard tot 65 HRC. De vijlen zijn gemaakt van sterk, duurzaam hoog-koolstofstaal (66 HRC) en precisiegeslepen om snel en nauwkeurig te snijden en langer mee te gaan dan vrijwel elke andere vijl op de markt.

If desired, the file can also be used by hand. The double-cut cutting surface of this file tapers slightly across its width and thickness.This file has a Swiss cut #4; Swiss-cut files are graded by the number of teeth, counting teeth perpendicular to the long axis of the file. In all cut styles, the higher the number, the finer its cut.A double-cut file features two sets of evenly spaced teeth set in two directions, one at a slightly different angle than the other.
