The Marketing Manager at Amadesa will have an opportunity to work closely with all levels of the organization and be directly involved in helping achieve our performance and growth objectives.

The position of Marketing Manager initially reports to the CEO of Amadesa.

The responsibilities of the Marketing Manager include:

• Competitor and partner analysis, specifically focused on insight into their positioning, branding, and value propositions
• Working closely with sales and product management to develop collateral and sales materials
• Planning, execution, and analysis of marketing campaigns, which are consistent with our company’s strategy (online, email marketing, direct mail, etc)
• Developing Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies and tactics
• Developing messaging and positioning for company and products, including analysis of market segment focus, competitive differentiation, business definition, etc.
• Ensuring consistency of branding, messaging, and positioning throughout the website and online and print materials
• Working with company’s PR firm and communicating Amadesa’s strategy and positioning to industry analysts, thought leaders, etc.
• Developing and executing media plans to reach print and online publications, journalists, and analysts
• Assisting with website strategy and implementation to achieve corporate objectives

Education and Experience:
A qualified Marketing Manager candidate will have broad marketing experience, with an emphasis in marketing strategy and successful execution of marketing campaigns from start to finish. Candidate should have experience within eCommerce as well as experience working with customers in a B2B environment. The candidate must also have experience in online and traditional marketing, with greater emphasis in online marketing.

• Bachelor’s degree required. MBA strongly preferred
• Minimum 5-7 years marketing experience, with a proven track record
• Experience in traditional and online marketing, setting strategy and executing plans
• Experience conducting online marketing campaigns in B2B setting
• Should have experience (or a strong understanding of) in ecommerce
• Ensuring consistency of branding, messaging, and positioning throughout the website and online and print materials
• Prior experience with a technology company is preferred
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate strong initiative
• Ability to execute (be tactical) as well as think strategically

Responsibilities

include overseeing all account management activities for assigned accounts, as detailed (but not limited) below:

• Owning the customer relationship, including all customer interaction and communications from the moment a sale is closed to the successful delivery and launch of the services and ongoing support and optimization for clients with all service levels.
• Developing specifications and plans for design, customization and implementation of the company services and processes
• Analyzing web analytics reports to make recommendations for web site optimization
• Developing best practices guidelines for content development and web design to achieve best possible conversion rates and/or revenue results
• Supervising completion of all projects and tasks to customer satisfaction
• Capitalizing on up-sale and client marketing opportunities

• Working with clients in all service capacities – full service, managed service, self service

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree or continued education specifically in online marketing a plus)
• Two-three years account management experience (multiple industry and fortune 500 experience a plus)
• Experience in SaaS environment
• Must have a good track record of success, be a self starter and be accountable for your own success
• Excellent time management, organizational, prioritization and written/oral communication skills
• Familiarity with web analytics tools
• Familiarity with the online marketing mix including e-mail marketing, website marketing, search engine optimization, etc.
• Experience designing online optimization programs including A/B tests, multivariate tests (MVT), designing online merchandising strategies or personalization strategies
• Experience in analyzing online marketing programs including test analysis, web analytic analysis, email marketing analysis, etc.
• Strong computer skills; specifically Microsoft Office
• Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously with several moving parts and multiple stakeholders
• Experience in a multi level client services environment is a plus (full, managed and self service)
• Ability to exceed expectations on relevant metrics including churn, revenue, tests per client, etc.
• Experience with web technologies, design, coding and business models is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Exceeding monthly quota objectives through outbound sales activities and marketing campaigns
• Exceeding internal required metrics including: call volume, number of meetings set per week and active opportunities in pipeline
• Arrange and set appointments for sales directors to demonstrate our services to qualified prospects
• Research prospective industries and companies to assess their suitability for Amadesa
• Qualify net new business opportunities by proactively initiating outbound calls to senior level management and probing prospects to determine needs
• Manage prospect information using the Salesforce.com customer relationship management system

Qualifications:

• Must have experience selling SaaS models or equivalent technology sales experience
• High energy level to make a consistently high number of outbound sales calls throughout the day
• Must have a good track record of success, be a self starter and be accountable for your own success

• Two-three years inside sales experience
• Sales training and experience with solution, consultative, strategic and/or conceptual/complex selling is preferred but not required.

• Expert-level experience with e-commerce and e-business platforms, content management solutions and related technologies

• Discipline and persistence in the science of developing new prospective customer relationships
• Ability to passionately articulate our software and services capabilities to prospective customers and match the appropriate solution to their needs and business drivers
• Experience with accurate forecasting of sales opportunities
• 20 to 30% travel
