IRCE Hot Topics: Conference Helps e-Businesses Gain Share of Consumer Wallet in Frugal Economy

We love the theme for this year’s Internet Retailer Conference and Expo (IRCE) in Chicago, June 8-11. “Time to Reboot: Recharging Your E-Commerce Business” succinctly states where e-commerce is today. We’re finally seeing some recovery from the Great Recession, but consumers are not letting go of the frugality they acquired during the past few years. That’s actually good news for e-tailers, who are often a favorite of the savvy shopper looking to spend, but wisely.

This year’s IRCE is focused on reaching that consumer, the one who is more likely to spend than in the recent past, as long as he perceives he is getting the best deal possible. The IRCE attracts a wide range of e-business professionals in every industry, from small shops to the largest brands. Its popularity stems from the practical, actionable strategies and sessions focused on topics including:

  • E-commerce technologies
  • Search marketing
  • Social media and e-retailing
  • Mobile commerce

We’ll be there talking about the power of testing and personalizing your website as a means to increase conversions. Come by our VIP cocktail party on June 8 from 9 p.m. to midnight at Potter’s Lounge in the Palmer House Hotel. You could win a free iPad, and you’ll also get an up-close look at the Amadesa Customer Experience Suite. But if you miss the party, stop by our booth (#248) on the expo floor for more information on how to optimize your website.

One of the key ways consumers are managing in the new economic landscape is by bringing caution to their spending. The competition for consumers’ wallets is fierce, but e-tailers can still find success and a competitive advantage when they employ the right tactics and strategies. IRCE is a great place to get an overview of those approaches, which can immediately affect your business.

If you haven’t made your plans for IRCE yet, check out the event website. See you in Chicago!
